This powerful, anointed, soothing vocalist helps her listeners reach unbelieveable heights of praise through her ministry in gospel music. Jewel sends a message of forgiveness, deliverance, and salvation through Jesus Christ, to reach the masses. Her ultimate goal is to celebrate Jesus in every nation! Born and raised in Nashville, TN, Jewel has been influenced by every form of music immaginable. At a young age she began to develop and to share her gifts of song and poetry at church and school.
Jewel's first recording was at the age of thirteen. She was asked to sing an original tune for a break-dance project that was used to promote a local recording studio. This opportunity ignited a fire within her heart to achieve her goal as a professional vocalist.
During her high school years, Jewel attended Blair
School of Music at Vanderbilt University. She was also selected to represent the state of Tennessee at the Girls State National Convention in San Antonio , TX. She was voted most talented of her senior class and recieved a scholarship of vocal performance to Austin Peay State University of Clarksville,TN. In her early alult life Jewel had an opportunity to sing at local jazz, R&B clubs around the U.S. When the traveling got old and the club scene was no longer her hearts desire. Jewel relocated to the state of Texas, and rededicated her life to Christ. Her first year in Texas her gift was used to promote Jesus. She was able to co-write several gospel songs wi
